Wouldn't find my driving anything else. My BO has a 09 3500 Dodge and my vet has a 1500 as well. We were all talking last week and I mentioned looking for new ones and my vet told me if I didn't get a Dodge she'd fire me as a client and my BO said he'd kick me out of the barn!outofasheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03117319496884845767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892401514337394004.post-35606284356306724862015-05-24T08:34:11.614-04:002015-05-24T08:34:11.614-04:00It's an 02 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins. It's an 02 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins. The Jumping Percheronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07588158783906726626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892401514337394004.post-79401544885522842592015-05-23T23:27:27.408-04:002015-05-23T23:27:27.408-04:00What year is your truck and which motor?
Driving ...What year is your truck and which motor?

Driving around without the truck in 4WD, even though it's moving with your drive train, not being under a load all the time is what probably saved it.

I worked for an auto parts company for 4+ years and loved it. I love my 5 speed pick ups too. My dad, brothers, and husband are all into automotives of some kind. It's something else to geek out on. :)

Dodge did well with their pick ups. I own mostly Chevy's, but I've been eye balling a Dodge truck lately.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05414517102944043411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892401514337394004.post-66136965608447054292015-05-23T20:31:50.838-04:002015-05-23T20:31:50.838-04:00Nuzz Muzz! You need to find a new shop! That'...Nuzz Muzz! You need to find a new shop! That's terrible! Or just double check everything before you drive off. Missing radiator caps and oil caps could leave you with a blown motor, I would never set foot at a shop like that again.

We are lucky that we have found a very honest place here. Actually, I went to buy hay from them one day and discovered they have this awesome shop on their property! They have worked on three of our four cars and had a big Sundowner trailer in there the other day which is great for when my trailer needs servicing. I trust these guys because of the great experience we have had with them.

I have taken The Beast to a couple places where the guys all ask me ten times if the truck is actually mine and then can't even pull it in the garage because it's too big for them, which is just f'ing ridiculous to me. I have also had guys not want to move it into a shop because it's a 6 speed manual and they're scared of it. It's so stupid. You should be fired from a shop if you can't drive a manual.

It helps that I spent a lot of time around race shops. I had really good friends that raced rally cars and my dad has a shop and builds racecars. He's been building cars since before he even had a license to drive them. I have caught a couple places trying to pull one over on me assuming I have have no mechanical knowledge. The Jumping Percheronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07588158783906726626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892401514337394004.post-75722438821745686572015-05-23T13:21:43.008-04:002015-05-23T13:21:43.008-04:00It's good to hear that you are impressed with ...It's good to hear that you are impressed with your Dodge. I have a Ram and I often hear rattles and strange noises, but I'm afraid to take it to a mechanic if it's running fine, because every time I do, the mechanic forgets to put a cap on something. One time they lost my hubcap. Most recently they pumped up my tires and forgot to put the valve caps back on. I've been missing radiator caps and oil caps. It doesn't matter what shop I take it to -- they always screw something up. The first time my husband took his brand new Caddy in for an oil change, they backed it into a wall and broke the tail reflector and pretended like they didn't do it. We knew they did, but couldn't prove it. Sometimes I think half the workforce in this world is on drugs.Nuzzling Muzzleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649710635013663900noreply@blogger.com
